they would have signed and some even so far to say look this is not a deal we should accept and then tom thought we should go over the fiscal cliff and start from the standpoint when rates have gone up everywhere and then start and deal with rates after you have all of the new revenue coming in and sort of start from that point. there is a broad sentiment in there that is one way to go. that is exactly what vice president biden is hearing right now. the key question is how deep and how broad that is. it will be interesting to see whether they come out of this meeting thinking that they need to rewrite a couple of points in the bill which would put off any deal tonight yet again. if they have to go back to republicans because of what they are hearing in the room that is bad news fora deal and you suspect the longer this goes on the more likely that is what is being discussed. >> bret: i agree with you. this is actually a long meeting at 10:40 when you are supposed to potentially move legislation to the senate floor tonight to take action potentially for the house to act tomorrow. stephen
